MISSING CLASSMATES

Know the email address of a missing Classmate? Click here to contact them!

Content mostly from the "First Time Visitors" page:

This site was created to connect and re-connect with Start '69 classmates (even those who will not be attending reunions).

To set up your profile: locate the "Classmate Profiles" link, then locate your name and click on it. Follow prompts to create your profile.

Your contact information is private; your street address, e-mail address, and phone number cannot be seen by classmates. Each classmate has the ability to limit the visibility of his or her profile to only fellow classmates by clicking on the appropriate answer in the Profile Visibility section during profile setup.

Adding current pictures is not a requirement to participate, but it certainly is a nice way to get to know people again. Some classmates may be running into each other without knowing it, because...well....we've all changed a little.

Emails may be shared within this site using the contact option at the top of each classmate's profile page (look under the classmate's main photo, in the upper left). This way you will be able to contact classmates without sharing your private email address - unless you choose to do so, which is allowed.

The site assembles a Missing Classmates list for us, based solely on the names of people who don't have profiles. So until you have a profile, the site will consider you "Missing." If you see someone you know how to contact on the Missing list - reach out to help them join! Easiest if they use email - but lets get them connected.

And: If you have ideas about how this website can be more attractive or helpful, or questions, just get to me (or maybe, hopefully, another Admin!) by clicking on the "Contact Us" link!

Clint

Related note: Since the website can (will, if you let it) send notifications and messages from other StartHigh69 classmates via email, rather than waiting for you to scan the whole site, or via FB Messenger:

Emails that come from the system are sent using the first and last name of the sender and the email address noreply@classcreator.net. That's a .NET, not a .com. Why is this important? In order to ensure legitimate emails coming to you and your StartHigh69 classmates are not flagged as spam, you should whitelist the email address noreply@classcreator.net. Not doing so may result in legitimate email going to your spam folder instead of your Inbox, or in some cases not being received at all.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hi you middle-aged Spartans from 1969 -

I am glad you found our new Class of '69 website. At least, I think you have. Still learning how it all works, and intend that you are seeing this after you have Joined the website at www.StartHigh69.com  If you have not yet joined here, please do it! And invite others to get with us. Although focused directly on class members, others may be added as Guest members. This should, however, be limited to teachers, perhaps spouses and others who authentically belong. Such others may just ask, with particulars of how they belong and will contribute, by clicking on the Contact Us link to the left. A particular category who should be added as Classmates are those who went to school with us for years, but may have switched schools before making the final Class of '69 list.

Immediately following Joining, note that the StartHigh69.com website gives each member better options about privacy than, for example, Facebook. Default settings are fairly private, although you do have options. One high level choice to notice early is under Edit Profile where you can choose:

Block Profile Visibility: Block the public and search engines from accessing my Profile and allow only fellow Classmates to view my Profile details. Leave this box unchecked if you also wish to allow the public (friends, co-workers, family members, etc.) to view your Profile details.

Other privacy options show up at many places in the website. Choose!

Please also go through info at First Time Visitors (again, to the left). A lot of helpful advice and information is there. Right now it is stock ClassCreator content, but suggestions or questions are welcome. Use Contact Us!

Which is true for the complete rest of this new shared website. Volunteers to make the site more complete, or track down Missing Classmates, or add graphics or photos, or.... what would be good? Are welcome (well, begged for?)! The more people contribute, the more we will all have to share. I will pitch in as fits. But as some may know from our reunion gatherings, or from my Facebook profile, I am recently married to a fantastic Start '74 grad. Who has priority.

tl:dr

Come on and join the Class of '69! www.StartHigh69.com gives us great easy ways to stay, or become, connected!

Clint
